Our Story

StageStruck, a values driven children's theater program, is  dedicated to the development of life skills through the performing arts.

Since 2005, founder and artistic director Brenda Shows, along with her teachers, has developed a solid reputation for impacting the lives of children with personal growth through speech, music, movement, and musical theatre.  The StageStruck program is a great way to introduce your child to the amazing world of theatre.

At StageStruck, children grow in self-confidence and communication skills through the performing arts.  The curriculum in the weekly class allows a student to explore music, movement, and theatre.  Based on age, students learn performance fundamentals such as vocal projection, stage presence, basic choreography, memorization skills, character development, scene building, improvisation, and acting.  Emphasis is placed on teamwork, commitment, self-accountability, and self-fulfillment through hard work and accomplishment.

For years I had talked about opening a performing arts school, or maybe having a theatre camp for kids in the summer. Finally, in 2005 everything came together to make it happen and StageStruck performance studio was born. It has been one of the most rewarding things I’ve ever experienced. My faculty not only shares my passion for children but also my love of teaching theatre, music and movement. They bring excellence and experience to all they do.

I love musical theatre and StageStruck gives me a chance to pass that love on to another generation, while providing a quality theatre experience for our community.
